Metro Mass Transit Limited has reactivated a reward scheme aimed at motivating its branch managers to achieve and exceed targets. The announcement was made by the Managing Director, Cezario Kale, Esq., at the 2026 Budget workshop in Kumasi.

The scheme, which was first implemented in the early and mid-2000s, was aimed at recognizing and rewarding hard work. Although the reason for its halt is not known, Kale urged staff to strive to meet and exceed their targets, assuring them that rewards await those who will work hard.

“The scheme has been reactivated to boost morale and drive performance,” Kale said. “We will provide the necessary skills and resources to enable efficient operations.”

Kale also met with the Inspectorate Monitoring and Compliance (IMC) team, urging them to play a proactive role in revenue collection and budget achievement. He briefed them on plans to expand the company’s fleet, including the acquisition of Toyota Hiace mini buses, Toyota Coaster buses, and Isuzu Buses.

Additionally, Metro Mass is in talks with VDL to procure modern, air-conditioned buses. Kale announced that executives would visit VDL facilities in the Netherlands to finalize the deal.

The five-day budget workshop aimed to assess branch preparedness, align branch budgets with the central budget, and review IMC policy implementation. Branch managers and IMC staff assured management of their commitment to achieving the company’s goals.
